Nick Launches Drama Club Mockumentary Series

Drama Club, a new mockumentary-style comedy series, has premiered digitally on the Nick app and Nick.com ahead of an encore presentation on Nickelodeon.

The series follows a group of middle schoolers as they shine a light on the inner workings of their school’s overlooked drama club. In the premiere episode of Drama Club, the titular club has a new student director who is excited to take over, change the school’s perception of the club and earn their new principal’s support—but when their choreographer suffers an injury, the kids realize their best hope is to turn to a rival on their school’s football team for help. The encore presentation will air on March 20.

Drama Club stars Telci Huynh (God Friended Me), Nathan Janak (All That), Lili Brennan (Silicon Valley), Kensington Tallman (Side Hustle), Chase Vacnin (The Many Saints of Newark) and Artyon Celestine (Dancing with the Stars: Juniors). From creators and executive producers Monica Sherer and Madeline Whitby (All That, Betch), Drama Club is produced by Awesomeness (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Trinkets, PEN15), with Shelley Zimmerman and Brin Lukens serving as executive producers. Eric Falconer (How I Met Your Mother, Blue Mountain State) serves as executive producer and showrunner. The series premiere is directed by Nancy Hower (Teachers, Those Who Can’t).
