Nick Jr. Play Set for NZ Rollout

A fully authenticated version of Nick Jr. Play is launching with SKY New Zealand on November 1, offering preschoolers shows, games and music via an interactive app.

“Nick Jr. is the number one channel for preschoolers on SKY, so with Nick Jr. Play we’re able to offer kids and parents a new and innovative way to view our content in a safe and trusted environment,” said Ben Cox, VP and general manager of Nickelodeon Networks Australia & New Zealand.

“We know how much our littlest customers love Nick Jr. and now they can immerse themselves with all their favorite characters in the Nick Jr. Play app on the go,” said Travis Dunbar, director of entertainment content at SKY New Zealand.

The Nick Jr. Play launch in New Zealand comes on the heels of the local success of Nick Play, which rolled out on SKY in April 2017. Nick Jr. Play is also launching in Australia with Foxtel and Fetch authentication. Both Nick Jr. Play and Nick Play are part of Viacom Play Plex, a portfolio that also includes MTV Play, Comedy Central Play and BET Play.
