A second season of Rookie Robot Explores the World is in production, with the first 13 episodes to be delivered in June and the rest in December.

Rookie Robot is a non-dialogue series for preschoolers, created and produced in Vienna by Sine Lege Film in cooperation with Leiss Postproduction. The show follows the adventures of a curious and friendly little bot named Rookie as he explores the world, meets new friends and experiences exciting adventures.

Meta Media Entertainment has taken over worldwide distribution and has licensed season one to NRK Norway, ERR Estonia, Filmin Spain and Filmin Portugal, adding to previous sales to Daekyo Kids TV, Daekyo Baby TV, ORF Austria/Flimmit and Canada’s Knowledge Network.

Josef Pallwein-Prettner, producer at Sine Lege Film, said: “The aim of the show is to encourage our little ones to be (and stay) curious, creative and social. By using original kids’ drawings, ‘we speak their universal language’ and emphasize that we can all learn from each other.”

Christian Leiss of Leiss Animation & Postproduction added: “Rookie is one of a kind: Its simple, colored-in, illustration-based cartoon style with a tick of retro touch is different from most programs on the market.”

Sara Cooper, founder at Meta Media Entertainment, said: “I am so delighted that Rookie Robot is in production for a second season and that kids around the world will be able to enjoy even more fun adventures with this cheeky little robot.”
