BREDA: Three licensees have signed on for Studio 100’s CGI series Heidi in Argentina, including Feg Entretenimientos, which is working on a live show.

Studio 100 has appointed International Merchandising Consultants (IMC) as its licensing agent for Argentina, and the company has secured three new deals for Heidi. Feg Entretenimientos has been appointed to develop a Heidi live show, due out this spring. In addition, Sticker Design will produce trading-card games and a range of stickers and albums for the Argentine market. Daysal, meanwhile, will make a line of children’s tableware products, including mugs, bowls, plates, lunch boxes, tumblers and toothbrush holders.

Heidi is recording strong ratings in Argentina. The CGI series has been airing exclusively on Disney Channel since August 2015 and now broadcasts in more than 138 countries.

Christophe Drevet, the international consumer products director at Studio 100, commented: “We are delighted with the growth and success of Heidi in Argentina as shown by such strong ratings in a relatively short period of time. Our extended partnership with IMC and three licensees defines a solid path for further licensees to come on board for the Heidi brand in this key Latin American market for our business.”

Leonardo Gutter, the president at IMC, added: “We are extremely delighted about representing Heidi in Argentina. The brand is well known in Argentina and I’m confident we will build on its success and continuous drive across the market.”

“With a cast of eight and a script which is based on the CGI TV series, the Heidi live show will be set in the Alps with both day and night scenes, plus a magical snow setting and animal story line,” remarked Marcelo Dionisio, the general director of Feg Entretenimientos. “The show stays true to the original key brand values and focuses on the natural beauty of the Alps and the variety of weather across the mountains.”
