HÖHENKIRCHEN/MUNICH: m4e has signed additional broadcast deals for its CGI-animated series Wissper, with Germany’s ZDF among the new partners.

ZDF will air the comedy-adventure series on its free-to-air kids’ channel KiKA later this year. In Austria, Wissper will air on public broadcaster ORF. m4e also sold pay-TV rights for the U.K. to Viacom International Media Networks Europe’s Nickelodeon.

In Asia, Wissper was acquired by ZooMoo Networks Asia, which picked up the pay-TV rights for Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar in a deal with the series’ co-producer Discreet Art Productions. Thailand’s TIGA picked up free-TV rights, as did Singapore’s Mediacorp.

m4e is also expanding the property within the Russian market, where Wissper is set to air this fall on Karusel. The Russian agency brand4rent is handling the licensing rollout, with the first products slated to launch this fall. The toy line from Simba Dickie will hit shelves early next year.

Created by Dan Good, Wissper tells the story of a little girl who can communicate with animals. She uses her special skills to help her animal friends solve problems. m4e handles the brand’s worldwide distribution.
