LONDON: FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has appointed several new licensing agents in key territories to represent its preschool property Kate & Mim-Mim.

Planeta Junior has signed on as the licensing agent for all of its European territories, including France, where the series airs on Lagardère’s TiJi; Iberia, where the show will screen later this year on Clan in Spain and Panda in Portugal; Italy, where Kate & Mim-Mim will launch on Cartoonito; the CEE, where it airs on MiniMini in Poland and MiniMax in Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary; and Turkey, where the series will be airing on Minika. In addition, Megalicense has become the licensing agent for Russia and CIS, where Kate & Mim-Mim is due to air on Karusel and sister channel ANI. Just Play is the global master toy partner, set to initially focus on the development of plush, dolls, play sets and figure packs. The preliminary launch is scheduled in North America and the U.K. for summer 2016, followed by a wider international rollout.

These licensees join SRTL, the licensing agent for Germany, where the series airs as part of the Toggolino block on Super RTL.

Tracy Griffiths, the VP of licensing and consumer products for EMEA and Australia at FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment, said: “After an extraordinarily successful debut and an exciting 12 months of development and activity, our adventurous duo Kate & Mim-Mim are definitely going places both on and off screen! We are delighted to welcome these prestigious partners on board to help develop and grow the brand further in key territories across Europe.”
