Mondo TV Iberoamerica, a part of Italy’s Mondo TV, has signed a co-production contract with RTVE in Spain for the animated kids’ series Bat Pat.

Per the agreement, RTVE will serve as a co-producer for the second season of Bat Pat. Further, Mondo TV subsidiary Mondo TV Producciones Canarias has assigned 9.22 percent of its IP to RTVE, which will have the exclusive right of reproduction and public communication in Spain. Atlantyca Entertainment exclusively owns the exploitation rights for Italy.

Bat Pat follows the adventures of the titular talking bat and his friend trio the Silver siblings—Martin, Leo and Rebecca. As they solve mysteries, they cross paths with supernatural night creatures that stalk them, chase them and screech at them within their house in the small city of Fogville. The show is co-produced by Atlantyca and Mondo TV, with Mondo TV Producciones Canarias responsible for pre-production and the parent company Mondo TV responsible for animation.

Maria Bonaria Fois, CEO of Mondo TV Iberoamerica, said: “This contract represents an important new stage for our company: our first co-production with RTVE. It underlines once again the growth of our Canary Islands subsidiary and the quality of its work. We are proud to be able to announce this agreement.”
