HONG KONG: The Mandarin-language kids’ edutainment channel Miao Mi has landed the Southeast Asian pay-TV and OTT rights to three new shows from Japan, Korea and China.

Domo from NHK in Japan (non-exclusive in Thailand and for OTT), Let’s Play with Boomchiki Boom from Grafizix in South Korea (non-exclusive in Malaysia and Brunei) and Our Friend Remy Bear from Xiongxiaomi Media in China will air in Mandarin and in local languages on Miao Mi. The channel caters to kids between the ages of 3 and 6. It is currently available in Indonesia and exclusively carried on Indovision and Okevision.

“Each of these shows epitomizes the qualities we are looking for when programming Miao Mi,” said Ofanny Choi, executive VP of TV networks at Celestial Tiger Entertainment, which owns the channel. “All three shows are ideal for preschool kids, they are both educational and entertaining, and they possess inherent Asian values and cultures.”
