Martellus Bennett’s Hey A.J.! to Bow in January

Hey A.J.!, a new animated family comedy series inspired by the children’s books by former Super Bowl champion Martellus Bennett, is slated to premiere on January 13 on Disney Jr., Disney Channel and Disney Jr. On Demand.

The series, executive produced by Bennett, Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (Phineas and Ferb) and Michael Hodges (The Garfield Movie), follows an imaginative young girl who, alongside her stuffed bunny sidekick, uses her imagination to make ordinary moments extraordinary.

The cast features Amari McCoy as A.J. and Bennett and Jhené Aiko as her parents. Additional members are Juliet Donenfeld, Innocent Ekakitie and David Mitchell. Celebrity guest stars include Meghan Trainor, Cristo Fernández, Bootsy Collins, Kate Miccuci, Maulik Pancholy, Calum Scott, Lena Waithe and retired NASA astronaut and engineer Leland Melvin, who will guest star as himself.

After premiering on January 13 on Disney Jr., Disney Channel and Disney Jr. On Demand, the episodes will be available to stream the next day on Disney+.
