Manchester Animation Festival Plans Hybrid Event

The Manchester Animation Festival (MAF) is planning its seventh edition as a hybrid event for 2021.

The online portion will run from November 1 to 30, with live events and screenings taking place from November 14 to 19. The 2021 hybrid event will be guided by the latest government guidance and MAF’s partner venues.

Festival organizers have confirmed that the festival will be bigger than last year, with some new features yet to be announced.

Festival Director Steve Henderson said: “Though the world isn’t quite back to normal yet, by building on the successes of our 2020 online festival we hope to be able to provide a bigger and better experience that will suit everyone! We have expanded our team and are making relevant new hires to increase the scale of the festival and support year-round activity.”
