Maker Studios Brings More Wonder Quest to YouTube

LOS ANGELES: Maker Studios is slated to launch a second installment of the hit animated series Wonder Quest, which is set in the world of the popular video game Minecraft, on YouTube this summer.

Wonder Quest follows the adventures of Stampy Cat—played by YouTube star Joseph Garrett—as he works to save his town of Wonderberg. The new season will feature guest appearances by TheDiamondMinecart, Rhett and Link, Shay Carl and Hank Green, among others. It is set to premiere on the Wonder Quest YouTube channel and YouTube Kids on August 20.

An animated companion series, titled I Wonder, will also be available on YouTube. Additional Wonder Quest content, including 360-degree videos, is due to debut later this year.

“Stampy Cat resonates with viewers for many reasons, one of the most important being that he has mastered how to be both entertaining and informative,” said Amy Finnerty, the head of talent franchise at Maker Studios. “Joe saw the impact he had on young viewers and thoughtfully decided to create content that inspired imagination, creating content with purpose. We were thrilled to work with him on another season of the show and know audiences will be just as excited as we are to tag along on his adventures.”

“I was thrilled to co-create a second season of Wonder Quest with Maker Studios,” added Garrett. “It has been amazing to expand the world of Wonder Quest with new adventures, and we have even more surprises in season two—I can’t wait for my fans to see it!”
