Kukuli, a children’s series from Turkey’s Fauna, is set to be distributed in India exclusively by Cosmos-Maya.

Under the terms of the deal, Cosmos-Maya holds the Hindi-language rights to Kukuli and is also entitled to produce and distribute local versions of the show on YouTube. To date, the animated program has more than 1.7 million fans on Facebook and more than 800 million views on YouTube. The show also airs on Turkey’s national kids’ broadcaster TRT Çocuk.

Kukuli, which follows the adventures of a monkey who likes to sing, dance and play the ukulele, has previously been picked up by Studio 100 and m4e for English-speaking countries. Its licensing and merchandising program already includes more than 200 licensed products sold in Turkish and European markets.
