J&M Brands has been tapped as the newest licensing agent in Benelux for the Angry Birds property.

The Angry Birds Movie 2 is set to be released in 2019, and games and series associated with the brand are in the works. The brand continues to increase its reach online, with the YouTube channel adding an average of 50,000 new subscribers a month.

“We are honored to represent such an incredible, well-loved brand and thrilled to be working with Rovio Entertainment,” said Monique Beck, the co-owner and joint managing director of J&M Brands. “With the growing licensing potential in games and the strength of this brand, we are confident we will be able to bring it to the next level in the Benelux as well.”

“With the arrival of The Angry Birds Movie 2 in 2019, and a growing interest in Angry Birds’ merchandise, now is the perfect time to build Rovio’s licensing program with the most respected agencies in each of the big markets,” commented Magdalena Biernat-Heikkinen, licensing director, EMEA at Rovio Entertainment. “J&M Brands, with its deep understanding of the Benelux market and experience of working with many major international brands, is an ideal partner to launch the next phase of the Angry Birds brand in Benelux.”
