Snipple Originals has revealed a brand-new 2D preschool musical comedy, The Singalings, which will be distributed by Jetpack Distribution.

The show has been acquired by Sky and is set to air later this year on the new Sky Kids linear TV channel and on-demand. Jetpack picked up the worldwide rights for the series outside of the U.K.

The Singalings is a fun edutainment series that features music, comedy and “earworm” songs for young audiences. Each episode starts with a song and centers around three inquisitive and eager extraterrestrials here to discover all they can about Earth.

Karina Stanford Smith, director of Snipple Originals, said: “The Singalings has a bold and eye-catching style. It’s a simple and hilarious animation with songs that are infectious and guaranteed to get kids singing for days after, even after hearing just once!”

She added: “It’s a fun show with a modern preschool audience in mind and entertains as well as teaches.”

CEO Kaine Patel said: “We’re building a sizable slate across multiple genres, taking brilliant ideas and turning them into content kids and families will love.”

Gillian Calvert Ridge, global distribution director of acquisitions and development at Jetpack, said: “The Singalings is a fantastic addition to our Kidscreen lineup and harnesses the power of music and songs for that age group. We’ve all been singing along!”
