Jetpack Distribution Inks Deals Across Europe

Jetpack Distribution has signed deals with 12 broadcast partners across Europe for 760 half-hours of animated shows.

Ladybird & Bee was picked up by Denmark’s DR, Hungary’s TV2 and Finland’s Yle. DR took the VOD rights for seasons one and two, while TV2 acquired the pay-TV and VOD rights for season one, as did Yle.

DR also acquired the VOD rights for seasons one and two of Cardboard City and season six of Chuggington. It also picked up the free-TV rights for the latter.

TV2, meanwhile, also picked up the pay-TV and VOD rights for Emmy and Gooroo (season one), Kitty is Not a Cat (season one), Wolf (season one), Mighty Little Bheem, Spookley and the Christmas Kittens and Spookley the Square Pumpkin.

In Hungary, Kidzone TV bought the VOD rights for Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! (seasons one and two), Eliot Kid (seasons one and two), Wolf (seasons one and two) and Kitty is Not a Cat (season one).

In the U.K., BBC Children’s took the VOD and TV rights for Spookiz The Movie and season one of Oswaldo, while Sky acquired the VOD and TV rights for Critters TV.

Norway’s NRK renewed its rights for Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! (season one) and My Petsaurus (seasons one and two) while also picking up the VOD and TV rights for Welcome to Cardboard City.

IFC Media in the Czech Republic and Slovakia bought the pay-TV rights for seasons two through five of Chuggington, Kazoops, Mighty Little Bheem, seasons one through five of My Petsaurus and four seasons of Spookiz.

Also in Slovakia, TV Job acquired the TV and VOD rights for Critters TV (season one), The Moe Show (seasons one through four), Spookiz and Mechamato (season one). Mechamato was acquired in Portugal as well, with SIC (Sociedade Independente de Comunicação) taking the pay-TV rights for season one.

For Central and Northern Europe, AMCNI CNE bought the VOD and TV rights for Marsupilami (seasons one to three) and Oswaldo for Minimax.

Germany’s Studio Hamburg Enterprises picked up the TV and VOD rights for season two of The Sisters. Lastly, Latvia’s LTV acquired the rights for season one of Chuggington and the movie Yoko and His Friends.
