Jamillah & Aladdin, Bat Pat Among Imira’s Recent Sales

MADRID: Imira Entertainment has secured several deals with broadcasters and platforms across the globe, including one with HBO Spain for its live-action series Jamillah & Aladdin, in the lead-up to NATPE.

In addition to the adventure series Jamillah & Aladdin, HBO Spain picked up the comedy Bat Pat, the sci-fi adventure comedy Alisa and the preschool shows Pororo the Little Penguin and Sandra, the Fairytale Detective. Imira also closed a deal with Turner, which picked up the superhero series Wolverine & The X-Men for France. TVA in Canada, meanwhile, went for the comedy adventure Lucky Fred, produced by Imira.

Discovery Kids MENA acquired the preschool adventure Hogie the Globehopper and Mika’s Diary. In Mexico, Canal Once picked up preschool titles Yohoo & Friends and Zack & Quack. Canal+, meanwhile, has taken more episodes of Larva. National Geographic snapped up Imira-produced healthy-eating series Vitaminix, while Argentina’s Primo TV is taking Lucky Fred, Lola & Virginia and Freefonix. Spain’s kids’ channel Clan TV signed on for Mika’s Diary.

Imira’s CEO, Sergi Reitg, will attend NATPE Miami 2017 with Begoña Esteban, the company’s sales manager for LatAm and U.S. Hispanic, presenting a slate that includes the new preschool online hit Badanamu and the preschool musical series Live Your Planet, produced in association with Sony Pictures and based on Spain’s kids’ musical success Cantajuego. Imira’s NATPE slate also includes series such as YoYo, WatchCar, Creators and Hogie the Globehopper, among other titles.
