Imagine Kids & Family, a division under Imagine Entertainment, and Meredith Corporation’s Four M Studios have teamed up to develop an animated children’s series inspired by LIFE Magazine images.

LIFE for Kids will be the first project to come out of the newfound partnership between Imagine Kids & Family and Four M Studios. The series will use LIFE‘s collection of more than ten million photographs to bring history to life for children, with each episode presenting a true story from the archive. LIFE for Kids will cover an array of topics, including sports, space, arts, world exploration, natural disasters and technology.

Executive producing the series are Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, chairmen of Imagine; Stephanie Sperber, president of Imagine Kids & Family; and Four M Studios’ Bruce Gersh and Bruce Robertson.

“We are so excited to be partnering with Four M Studios and LIFE,” said Grazer and Howard in a joint statement. “LIFE and Imagine are two brands with a shared value and reverence for history and telling the great stories that make history. LIFE has documented our global triumphs, breakthroughs and sparked curiosity for generations.”

Gersh added: “The historic LIFE archive offers the most comprehensive exploration of historical moments from the mid-1930s onward, and there are unparalleled possibilities across all genres of television. We are thrilled to partner with the incredible team at Imagine to bring LIFE for Kids to kids and families across the globe.”
