Gloob’s animated series S.O.S. Fairy Manu and Time to Rock are slated to air on TV Ciudad in Uruguay.

TV Ciudad will air 26 episodes of each animated series. S.O.S. Fairy Manu tells the story of a little girl who is training as a fairy’s apprentice. Time to Rock is about a group of friends who are part of a garage band.

“Latin America is a very special market for us, for several reasons,” said Paula Taborda dos Guaranys, the head of content and programming of Gloob and Gloobinho. “We believe that our products, because of the cultural similarity with other Latin American countries, can be really successful in this territory.”

Frederico Dalmaud, director of the public channel, which is owned by the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, noted that the agreement “will enable us to reinforce the children’s timeslot called ‘Paseo Animado’ with products of high technical quality and with exceptional scripts that are guaranteed to entertain kids.”

Dalmaud added, “It is an honor that a channel such as Gloob, which belongs to Globo Group, has entrusted a public channel in Uruguay for its entry into the Latin market.”
