Genius Genie Animated Series Heads to Discovery Kids

The animated preschool series Genius Genie has added to its roster of broadcasters with new agreements in place in Finland, Russia and across the MENA region.

Season one has been picked up by YLE (Finland), Alati International (Russia) and Discovery Kids (the Middle East and North Africa). It will premiere on Discovery Kids across MENA on March 17.

Genius Genie’s first 78×5-minute season was produced by ToonDraw in partnership with Canadian broadcasters Radio-Canada, Knowledge Network, Télé-Québec and TFO. The show is accompanied by a set of interactive mobile applications available on the App Store and Google Play.

Season two is currently in preparation.

The show follows the adventures of a well-meaning genie who pops up whenever anyone says the word “problem.” Though his magic often makes the situation worse, his preschooler friends Lili, Leo and Penelope are always willing to help with teamwork and creative problem-solving.
