GBH has launched the Kids Catalyst Fund to advance its long-standing commitment to equity in education.

The fund will allow GBH to continue producing popular programming such as Molly of Denali, High School Quiz Show and Arthur, as well as create new quality educational resources that represent diverse cultures and perspectives.

GBH reaches millions of children and families through engaging and interactive content available for free across multiple platforms. With PBS, it co-founded and co-manages PBS LearningMedia, a digital learning service with thousands of free, standards-aligned videos, interactives and lesson plans spanning all subjects for K-12 teachers and students.

“Education is at the very core of our mission, supporting learning and development of both young children and youth in our community,” said Jon Abbott, president and CEO of GBH. “Yet we know that not all children have access to equitable learning resources. The GBH Kids Catalyst Fund will help us develop the educational media and learning tools that can bridge the gaps, helping all children feel represented as they become informed citizens.”

“Children are the future of our country,” Abbott added. “GBH and all public media can play a powerful role in ensuring every child has access to the resources they need to succeed.”
