Epic Story Media has begun development on an animated series based on the Burt the Beetle books from Ashley Spires (Binky the Space Cat, The Most Magnificent Thing) for TVOkids.
The books center on a kind beetle who doesn’t have the same abilities as other bugs but is a fantastic friend. Spires, Hugh Duffy and Carolyn Hay, who previously wrote Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe together, have teamed up to pen the adaptation.
Alongside Spires, Duffy and Hay, executive producers are Ken Faier and Steve Couture of Epic Story Media.
