Epic Story Greenlights Mia & Codie

Epic Story Media has started production on the animated series Mia & Codie, in addition to working on a second season of Luna, Chip and Inkie: Adventure Rangers Go.

Epic Story Media’s preschool coding comedy series Mia & Codie has been commissioned by TVO, Knowledge Network and TFO. The 40×4.5-minute show comes from Emmy Award winner Don Moody.

Epic Story Media will produce, with Relish Studios in Vancouver leading on animation. The series has been informed by research consultants from MIT and curriculum advisors, including Dr. Natascha Crandall. An app is being developed alongside for broadcasters to offer online.

Mia & Codie is written by Shelia Rogerson (Max & Ruby, The Berenstain Bears, Handy Manny) and Renae Ruddock, who also acted as the cultural advisor.

Meanwhile, Knowledge Network commissioned a second season of the preschool series Luna, Chip and Inkie: Adventure Rangers Go. The 28×11-minute show and 22-minute special are produced by Epic Story Media, which also manages global sales and licensing.
