A new half-hour seasonal special from Donkey Hodie, the hit puppet series from Fred Rogers Productions and Spiffy Pictures, is coming to PBS KIDS in the U.S. this month.

In a tribute to Fred Rogers himself, A Donkey Hodie New Year features an original rendition of Rogers’ iconic song “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.” The special will premiere on PBS KIDS on December 2.

PBS KIDS has also lined up a special episode of Alma’s Way, the Emmy-nominated animated series from Fred Rogers Productions created by Sonia Manzano with the story “No Sleep ‘Til New Year’s.”

For Lyla in the Loop, the “Happy New Year, Lyla!” special episode debuts December 2. In this episode, when family and friends want their own fancy pin, Lyla and Everett must figure out how to make the pins for everyone in time for the New Year’s Eve party.
