BURBANK: Disney XD has ordered a second season of its live-action comedy series Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything for a 2016 premiere.

The show stars Cameron Boyce as a teenage pro-gaming phenomenon whose thumb injury forces him off the elite gaming circuit and back into public school. Production on the sophomore season will begin in Los Angeles this spring. The first season airs on Disney XD on Wednesday nights and follows top gamer Conor, who teams up with three unlikely friends to form their high school's first-ever gaming league.

Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything was created by Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton (Zeke & Luther, Turbo Fast), who also serve as executive producers. Executive producer Jim O'Doherty (Grounded for Life, 3rd Rock from the Sun) also serves as showrunner for the series, which is produced by It's A Laugh Productions.
