Disney XD Preps Premiere of Beyblade Burst

NEW YORK: The new animated show Beyblade Burst, the third generation of the global franchise, is slated to begin airing on Disney XD next month.

Beyblade Burst follows the adventures of a group of passionate Bladers as they chase their dreams. The series will debut on Disney XD on Monday, December 19, at 9 a.m. Eleven new episodes will premiere Monday through Saturday until December 31, with a repeat broadcast each day at 4:30 p.m. In January, the show will move to its regular time slot on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m., with repeats throughout the week.

Beyblade Burst will also become available on Disney XD’s digital platforms. Sunrights handles the distribution of broadcast, non-toy merchandising and promotional rights for the property outside of Asia. Hasbro is set to roll out a product line based on the brand in the U.S. in January.

“We are excited for a new generation of fans to engage with Beyblade Burst and follow Valt as he battles his way to the top with a two-week marathon of new episodes on Disney XD,” said Kaz Soeda, the managing director of Sunrights.
