Disney Sets Simultaneous Premiere for Descendants 2 on Five Networks

The Disney Channel original movie Descendants 2 is slated to debut simultaneously across five networks within the Disney|ABC Television Group this July.

On Friday, July 21, at 8 p.m., Descendants 2 will premiere on Disney Channel, ABC, Disney XD, Freeform and Lifetime. The movie will also become available via live feeds on each network’s digital platform. It will also launch on-demand on the Disney Channel, ABC, Freeform and Lifetime apps on July 21 at 10 p.m., as well as on Disney Channel, ABC, Freeform and Lifetime VOD beginning July 22. The movie is a sequel to the popular Descendants film that debuted in 2015.

Descendants 2 continues the story of the Villain Kids—Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay—as they try to find their place in Auradon. When the pressure to be royal becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her roots on the Isle of the Lost, where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town.
