Degrassi Co-Creator Slated for CYM Conference

MONTREAL: This year's Children, Youth & Media (CYM) Conference, which is being hosted by the Youth Media Alliance (YMA) next week in Toronto, will feature a workshop called How to Make TV That Lasts with Degrassi co-creator and exec producer Linda Schuyler.

How to Make TV That Lasts will see Schuyler, current EPs Sarah Glinski and Matt Huether, and Stephanie Cohen, producer of extra content, discuss how to make a television show that engages fans year after year. Topics will include structuring a season, breaking an episode, keeping content fresh and original, and maintaining relevance with young viewers. The workshop, presented by IPF, will take place at CBC from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 19.
