Dandelooo has closed a deal with the Czech animation production company Krutart for the new 2D preschool series Kosmix.

Per the agreement, Dandelooo acquired exclusive worldwide distribution rights to Kosmix, which Krutart co-produced with Czech pubcaster Czech Television. Directed by Vojtěch Dudek and Klára Jůzová and targeted at 4- to 8-year-olds, the series follows the adventures of a little robot named Kit as he explores the universe. Each episode of Kosmix focuses on a different planet or a space object with a simple personality, with Kit serving as the tour guide through space.

In other Dandelooo news, its films Shooom’s Odyssey and Hungry Bear Tales are part of the Official Selection in the Short TV Films in Competition category at Annecy 2020 Online. Shooom’s Odyssey, produced by Picolo Pictures, follows the titular baby owl, who hatches just as a storm turns the bayou surrounding her tree upside down. After falling from her nest, and with a second egg from the brood in tow, she goes in search of a mother—whether it be an alligator or even a raccoon. One of the Hungry Bear Tales specials in competition is part of the series produced by the Czech film and TV production company Bionaut. It centers on two bears who share a cozy house in the forest who are constantly hungry and on the hunt for something to eat.

Further, Mum is Pouring Rain, co-produced by Laïdak Films and Dandelooo, has been selected for the Work in Progress (WIP) conference at Annecy 2020. And, the completed 2D animation series Stinky Dog, commissioned by France Televisions, is set to launch with two episodes airing on the SVOD platform OKOO during MIFA. Based on the books written by Colas Gutman, illustrated by Marc Boutavant and published by l’ecole des loisirs, the slapstick series follows the adventures of a maverick mutt and his flattened best friend Flatty Cat.
