Corus Extends Deal with Cartoon Network in Canada

TORONTO: Corus Entertainment has expanded its partnership with Turner’s Cartoon Network in Canada in a new multiyear broadcast and merchandise agreement.

In addition to Cartoon Network extending its channel deal with Corus Entertainment, Corus’s Nelvana has become the exclusive merchandising agent for the network’s hit brands, including The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Ben 10. Nelvana will develop a variety of licensed products for the properties spanning secondary and seasonal toys, softlines, food and beverage, sporting goods and consumer electronics. This fall will see the launch of a selection of Powerpuff Girls toys from Spin Master in Canada.
