TORONTO: Corus Entertainment has revamped its Treehouse app, which offers users more than 1,500 episodes from the Canadian preschool network’s content library.

Formerly called Treehouse Classic, the refreshed app is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod and Apple TV, allowing kids and their families to watch Treehouse shows anytime, anywhere. The Treehouse app features more than 40 preschool properties, including Babar, Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans and Franklin and Friends.

Treehouse is offering a one-month free trial to new users. It is available exclusively from the App Store with a current three-tiered subscription model. The app allows users to create custom playlists and also offers packaged content featuring seasonal and educational-themed episodes covering topics such as camping, siblings, the outdoors, music and friendship. It also offers digital coloring pages featuring popular Treehouse characters.

“Corus is a longstanding provider of kids’ entertainment and we remain committed to offering parents more access to the content their kids know and love,” said Daniel Eves, the senior VP of kids’ and general-entertainment content at Corus Entertainment. “With hundreds of hours of compelling entertainment, custom playlists and curated content, the app offers an engaging and safe platform for families.”

The Treehouse app for Apple devices joins Corus’s full suite of growing TV Everywhere apps. These include TreehouseGO, YTVGO, NickGO, Disney Channel app, Disney Junior app, GlobalGO and HistoryGO.
