CITV has commissioned the live-action entertainment game show Spy School, which is set to air next year.

Produced by Zodiak Kids Studios, Spy School sees one team of two kids per episode take on the challenge of becoming spies. Under the guidance of their spy handler, Agent J, the cadets must solve puzzles and break codes in order to guide field Agent L around London’s most iconic landmarks to track down and stop the evil “Goldfist” from taking over the world.

Spy School will air on ITV and CITV on weekends. The 14×30-minute show is directed by Matt Holt and Gary Brooks, executive produced by Steven Andrew and Joe Shaw, and series produced by Ben Spiteri.

Paul Mortimer, the head of digital channels and acquisitions, said, “We’re very happy to be working again with Zodiak Kids Studios on this exciting original series. Spy School embodies all the fun, adventure and cheekiness of CITV at its best and we’re pleased to be adding this to the channel’s live-action slate.”

Andrew, the creative director of Zodiak Kids Studios UK, commented, “We are thrilled we have been given the opportunity to bring to life this highly original and innovative format for the next generation of CITV viewers.”

Additionally, Zodiak Kids Studios is producing another 60 episodes for season five of Scrambled!, which will air every Saturday and Sunday until April 2018. The company has also been commissioned to make four Scrambled! specials, including Scrambled!’s Shiniest Showdown Ever, Scrambled! Christmas Stocking, Scrambled! Record Breakers and Scrambled! Sketch Show.
