CITV has partnered with the Young Audiences Content Fund (YACF) and will be working with the British Film Institute (BFI) to support kids’ content from U.K.-based producers.

At the outset of this partnership, CITV is looking to commission U.K.-produced live-action comedy or drama scripted series, live-action physical game shows/challenge shows and live-action “make and do”/craft series. The free-to-air children’s channel is not currently looking to commission animated series. The greenlit series will likely transmit on CITV in 2020.

For the scripted series, submissions should ideally include a pilot script, but character bios, series outlines and any other pre-production assets would be accepted. For the game show/challenge show and “make and do”/craft ideas, a full treatment with format beats, an episode running order and casting suggestions are desired. Producers looking to submit projects for consideration can do so via email to citv.yacf@itv.com. The deadline for submissions is August 30.

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s director of digital channels, said: “CITV is thrilled to support the Young Audiences Content Fund and to be working in tandem with the BFI on an initiative that will deliver more high-quality, U.K.-produced kids’ television than could be achieved without it. We look forward to taking receipt of ideas that will enlighten and entertain our core audience of 6- to 12-year-olds.”
