Children’s & Family Emmys 2026 Nominees Unveiled

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences unveiled the nominations for the fourth annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, which will be presented on March 1 and 2, 2026, in New York City.

“We’re excited to honor the extraordinary individuals and teams who bring children’s and family television to life every day,” said Rachel Schwartz, head of the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards. “As the landscape continues to grow—and as studies highlight the positive impact educational programming has on young children—we look forward to coming together to celebrate this meaningful and inspiring work.”

For outstanding preschool, children’s or family viewing series, nominees are Apple TV+’s Jane, Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship, Ms. Rachel’s Ms. Rachel, PBS KIDS’ Odd Squad, HBO Max’s Sesame Street and Tab Time’s Tab Time.

Contenders for outstanding young teen series are Disney+’s Goosebumps: The Vanishing, Netflix’s Heartstopper, Disney+’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Netflix’s Sweet Tooth and Apple TV+’s Time Bandits.

In the animated categories, the preschool series nominees are Carl the Collector (PBS KIDS), Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (PBS KIDS), Molly of Denali (PBS KIDS), The Tiny Chef Show (Nickelodeon) and Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum (PBS KIDS), while the children’s young teen nominees are Big City Greens (Disney+), Dream Productions (Disney+), Win or Lose (Disney+), Wolf King (Netflix) and Wylde Pak (Nickelodeon).

Up for the outstanding fiction special award are Disney+’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip; Disney+’s Descendants: The Rise of Red; Fifth Season’s Girl Haunts Boy; and Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger: The Movie. The animated special nominees, meanwhile, are An Almost Christmas Story (Disney+), Kiff: The Haunting of Miss McGravy’s House (Disney+), Kiff: Lore of the Ring Light (Disney+), That Christmas (Netflix) and Ultraman: Rising (Netflix).

Contenders for the short-form live-action program category are Andrew Garfield and Elmo Explain Grief (Sesame Workshop), Girls’ Voices Now (Here TV), My Way (PBS KIDS) and Together We Can (PBS KIDS). For the short-form animated prize, nominees are PBS KIDS’ Acoustic Rooster: Jazzy Jams, Thirteen’s Count on June Bug, HBO Max’s Daffy in Wackyland, Apple TV+’s Eva the Owlet, Disney+’s How Not to Draw and Disney+’s Road Trip.

Magnolia Network’s Building Outside the Lines, Disney+’s Harlem Ice, Netflix’s Makayla’s Voice: A Letter to the World, National Geographic’s A Real Bug’s Life and FOX’s Super Animals are up for the outstanding informational program award.
