CBeebies Picks Up Puppet Series Monty & Co

The BBC preschool channel CBeebies has acquired the linear and FVOD rights to the new puppet series Monty & Co.

From the U.K.-based Pipkins Productions, Monty & Co follows the lives of an eclectic group of characters living above a bring, buy and mend shop, with each episode written as a musical mini-drama. Serious Lunch is representing worldwide rights for the series.

Genevieve Dexter, founder and CEO of Serious Lunch, said: “We are delighted, it has been a long time since the U.K. has produced a homegrown puppet series of this caliber. Young children enjoy intense emotional connection with puppets, and it’s a lovely thing to see.”
