Cartoon Network Brands Get Licensing Agent for Russia, CIS

MOSCOW/LONDON: Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA has appointed Megalicense International as its licensing representative for Russia and the CIS region, effective January 1.

The deal sees Megalicense charged with building and overseeing the official licensing programs for Cartoon Network Enterprises' catalogue of original animated properties across Russia and CIS. Global brands involved in the agreement include the hit comedy series Adventure Time as well as the new versions of The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10.

"Cartoon Network Enterprises dominates a unique space in the entertainment licensing industry and their plans for the future and upcoming shows is very exciting," said Friderico Gatti, the CEO of Megalicense International. "We plan to build, promote, assist and expand the company's licensing and merchandising business, positioning it as the leader of licensed comedy brands in our territories."
