CAKE Clinches Volume Deal with LatAm SVOD blim

CANNES: CAKE has licensed more than 200 hours of kids’ content to blim, Televisa’s new SVOD service in Latin America.

Under the pact, blim has licensed SVOD rights across the LatAm region. More than 800 episodes were part of the package, including the animated series Total Drama, Poppy Cat, Wanda and the Alien and Trunk Train. Live-action titles include The Sparticle Mystery.

Ed Galton, CCO and managing director at CAKE, said, “We are very excited to be working with Televisa. blim is a great platform for CAKE’s titles and we wish them every success.”

Carlos Sandoval, the general manager at blim, said, “Having premium content for children is one of blim’s goals, as it provides entertainment for the entire family, especially kids who are heavy users of our service. We found that CAKE could provide us with this premium content, and it is great to have them as content partners.”
