Boulder Media Taps Colm Tyrrell as Head of Studio Production

Boulder Media (My Little Pony, The Amazing World of Gumballhas appointed Brown Bag Films alum Colm Tyrrell as head of studio production, effective June 6.

Tyrrell has over 20 years of experience in the industry and has served as series producer on shows such as Doc McStuffins, Vampirina and Henry Hugglemonster. Most recently, he was director of production at Brown Bag Films and oversaw the success of Karma’s World, Eva the Owlet and more.

Tyrrell’s appointment is part of Boulder Media’s growth strategy, which will see the company scaling and seeking artists to work on its new slate of prime-time, family and kids’ animated productions, including the upcoming Grimsburg, an animated sitcom featuring Jon Hamm.

Throughout his career, Tyrrell has earned Emmy and BAFTA nominations, as well as recognition from the Producers Guild of America and the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA). He has also won an Irish Animation Award.
