Boat Rocker Studios has secured a fresh round of international sales for its tween drama The Next Step.

C More in Scandinavia and Dreamia in Portugal have picked up seasons six and seven of The Next Step, while RTE in Ireland and HOT in Israel have acquired season seven. These new deals join previous sales to CBC Gem in Canada and ABC Me in Australia. Both channels launched the seventh season earlier in 2020.

The Next Step recently celebrated its 200th episode on CBBC. A specially commissioned eight-part series of video chat parties featured old and new cast members discussing their experiences on the show, sharing their own memorable moments and revealing some behind-the-scenes stories. Fans at home were able to vote for their own favorite episodes from a shortlist selected by the cast and take a 200-question quiz to find out how much of a superfan they are.

The Next Step, a reality dance drama for tweens, follows the trials, tribulations and triumphs of a group of dancers at the Next Step dance studio. Now in its seventh season, the show is broadcast in more than 120 countries worldwide. It is produced by Boat Rocker Studios, with the participation of the Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund, and distributed globally by Boat Rocker Studios and BBC Studios.
