U.K. theme park Alton Towers Resort is expanding its CBeebies Land lineup with the brand-new Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop ride, which opens March 23.

The ride’s launch marks the third attraction opening in the U.K. for the preschool series Peter Rabbit. Over the past three years, the Peter Rabbit Adventure Playground has opened at Willows Activity Farm, and the Peter Rabbit Adventure Experience is live at Flamingo Island.

On the Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop ride, families will hunt for Peter’s friend Benjamin Bunny, who has hidden in Mr. McGregor’s garden. Guests will explore the garden, solve puzzles and embark on missions to help Peter find Benjamin by the time they get to the top of the ride.

“Our partnership with Alton Towers and BBC Studios underlines the enduring appeal that Peter Rabbit and his adventures have for families,” said Lisa Macdonald, senior VP of consumer products and TV sales for EMEA at Silvergate Media, the Peter Rabbit series’ co-producer. “The Hippity Hop ride is an exciting and fun-packed way for young fans to engage with this beloved character.”

Thomas Merrington, creative director at Penguin Ventures on behalf of Frederick Warne & Co., another of the series’ co-producers, added: “It’s been a real delight to develop the Hippity Hop ride with the team at Merlin Entertainments and BBC Studios. It really captures the adventurous spirit of the TV show brilliantly and we are sure that young fans will be thrilled to experience Peter’s world in this brand-new way.”
