Adina Pitt to Depart Warner Bros. Discovery

Adina Pitt, a 16-year veteran of Warner Bros. Discovery, is exiting her post as VP of content acquisitions, partnerships and co-productions for kids and family in the U.S.

During her long tenure at Warner Bros. Discovery, Pitt has been responsible for identifying, negotiating and acquiring pre-produced series, specials, movies and short-form product that fit Warner Bros. Discovery Kids and Family brands for exposure across all platforms. She continued to oversee those programs once they had been acquired and positioned at each of the networks.

Previously, Pitt was VP of acquisitions for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. She was developing acquisition strategies that supported current and long-term programming plans for Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Nick Jr, Nick at Nite, The N and Noggin. In addition to this, she oversaw channel inventory, cable and network television series and movie deals, competitive pricing, theatrical and made-for-TV movie availability, and competitive inventories, both domestically and globally. She previously worked in film programming acquisitions at HBO.

Pitt was presented with the TV Kids Pioneer Award at the recent TV Kids Summer Festival. In the keynote, which you can see here, Pitt reflects on her career in children’s media.

Michael Ouweleen, the president of Adult Swim at Warner Bros. Discovery, commented: “Adina Pitt is an unparalleled, world-class executive—a leader in the kids’ space not just within our company, but across the entire industry. If you know her, you know there’s no better partner and proponent for quality kids’ entertainment. She will certainly shape the kids’ space for years to come.

Moving forward, kids’ and family content at Warner Bros. Discovery will be driven by its global team, led by Vanessa Brookman.
