ABC Commercial Renews Sesame Street Pact

SYDNEY: ABC Commercial has renewed its agreement with Sesame Workshop that covers the home-entertainment rights to Sesame Street specials in Australia and New Zealand.

Under the terms of the four-year pact, ABC Commercial holds the DVD, digital and SVOD rights to all Sesame Street specials through the end of 2019. ABC Music, meanwhile, can release any music from the show on physical and digital platforms.

Cookie’s Crumby Pictures is the next Sesame Street special due for release by ABC Commercial. It will be available on DVD and digital from April 6. That will be followed later in the year by The Cookie Thief.

ABC Commercial has been working with Sesame Workshop since 2011, releasing more than 60 Sesame Street specials from its ABC KIDS product label across DVD and digital. ABC Commercial has also worked with all the major SVOD providers in Australia and New Zealand on the franchise.
