Don Moody Preps Codie Blocks

Don Moody, creator of the PBS KIDS series WordWorld, is to launch Codie Blocks, an early learning system that teaches kids how to code, this fall.

Designed for children ages 3 to 7, the system will use tactile blocks, a Bluetooth-enabled dock and a simple, emoji-inspired coding language. It will roll out in the U.S. this fall through partnerships with Scholastic, Scratch, iCode and PBS member stations.

Paired with a classroom app, curriculum and Mia & Codie, Codie Blocks will provide an introduction to computational thinking.
