Disney Orders Coven Academy Pilot from Tim Federle

Disney Branded Television has given a pilot order for Coven Academy (w.t.), a supernatural series from Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series).

For Disney Channel and Disney+, the series will follow a coven of teenage witches-in-training who must protect their town from a looming threat. Federle is executive producing alongside Bronwyn North-Reist of Chorus Boy Productions.

Federle is also executive producing the live-action comedy series Vampirina (w.t.), set to air later this year on Disney Channel and Disney+, in addition to directing the Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel for Disney’s 20th Century Studios. He is also writing the stage musical adaptation of The Greatest Showman for Disney Theatrical Group.
