BBC Licenses Miraculous Series & Specials

The broadcasting rights to seasons one through six of Miraculous—Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and five Miraculous World TV event specials have been licensed to BBC Children’s and Education.

Season five of the series, which follows the lives of two Parisian teenagers who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, is set to debut on CBBC this week for young viewers in the U.K. The five TV specials expand the adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir beyond Paris, taking them to new locations and introducing fresh characters.

The specials include Miraculous World: New York–United HeroeZ, Miraculous World: Shanghai–The Legend of LadyDragon, Miraculous World: Paris–Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir and Miraculous World: London–At The Edge of Time. The fifth special is currently untitled and details will come at a later date.

Miraculous—Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir was created by Thomas Astruc, Nathanaël Bronn and Jeremy Zag. Miraculous Corp and ZAG’s deal with BBC Children’s and Education was brokered by Mediawan Kids & Family.
