PBS KIDS to Celebrate Earth Month with New Content

In honor of Earth Month (April), PBS KIDS is set to debut two brand-new movies, as well as episodes and shorts, from Wild Kratts and Nature Cat.

Wild Kratts: Our Blue and Green World, premiering April 1, will see Chris and Martin Kratt disagree on whether blue oceans or green forests are better. Aviva takes on the role of referee to demonstrate how oceans and forests work together to make our living planet, just like Martin and Chris need to keep working together.

A new game, entitled World Rescue, will accompany the movie in April, as well as new Wild Kratts episodes on April 2.

Nature Cat’s Nature Movie Special Extraordinaire is set to bow on April 22 (Earth Day). In the new movie, Nature Cat and his friends try to figure out what their movie special is about when Sir Galahad (Chris Parnell), who has now anointed himself King Galahad, begins taking things from nature to makes his castle look more beautiful.

The special features three original songs written by Bill Sherman and performed by Taran Killam, Kate McKinnon, Bobby Moynihan and Kate Micucci.

The new short-form series Nature Chat with Nature Cat will also become available on April 22. In the shorts, Nature Cat speaks directly to fans about how they can help make the world a better place.
