Jeremy and Jazzy Set for Kartoon Channel!

Genius Brands International has acquired the non-exclusive U.S. broadcast and streaming rights for the music series Jeremy and Jazzy.

The series is slated for its U.S. premiere on Kartoon Channel! on May 12. Jeremy and Jazzy is based on the music of folk-pop musician Jeremy Fisher and stars Fisher along with afro-pop musician Aiza Ntibarkure.

The series celebrates how feelings become songs, songs become stories, and how music and friendship create joy. The show has been commissioned for a second 28×2-minute season by CBC Kids. New episodes of Jeremy and Jazzy will debut in Canada on CBC and CBC Gem. Season one is available to stream now on CBC Gem and CBC Kids’ YouTube channel.

Bejuba! Entertainment and Vérité Films International distribute the series worldwide.

“With its inspirational messaging that kids can relate to delivered in snappy fun musical shorts, Jeremy and Jazzy is the perfect complement to our program offering on Kartoon Channel! and in line with our mission of bringing ‘content with a purpose’ to kids and their families,” commented Lindsay Brown, senior director of international sales and acquisitions at Genius Brands International.

“We’re just so excited to partner with Genius Brands in order to bring Jeremy and Jazzy to Kartoon Channel! and share it with children across the U.S.,” added Virginia Thompson, president of Vérité Films, co-creator and executive producer of Jeremy and Jazzy.
