WildBrain Television has unveiled its fall lineup of kids’ program premieres, returning shows and new competition series.

Among its new kids’ programs is the new Strawberry Shortcake series Berry in the Big City, which sees Strawberry Shortcake travel to Big Apple City with her friends to run their own food trucks. To celebrate International Day of the Girl, it will premiere on October 11 on Family Jr.

Also in celebration of International Day of the Girl, YouTube sensation Ellie Sparkles will host a slew of girl-positive programming in addition to Berry in the Big City, including new episodes of Polly Pocket.

The new series Lucas the Spider, based on the hit YouTube shorts that follow the happy, inquisitive jumping spider, is part of WildBrain Television’s fall lineup as well. It is set to debut on Family Jr. on October 16.

On Family Channel, new seasons of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and American Ninja Warrior Junior will premiere. In Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, the duo’s adventure in Paris continues as the superheroes fight a determined opponent. The next season of American Ninja Warrior Junior will follow a new generation of ninjas as former NFL star Akbar Gbajabiamila and actor Matt Iseman provide play-by-play commentary.

Family Channel’s October lineup also includes a grab bag of Halloween movies every Friday, including Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events, Beetlejuice, Monster Squad and The Addams Family. From October 25 to 31, Family Channel will host “Hallo-week,” with movies every night followed by an hour of back-to-back episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark?.

On Halloween weekend, Halloween-themed programming will be available for kids and families on both Family Channel and Family Jr.

In addition to kids’ programming, WildBrain Television’s lineup includes two competition shows. Crime Scene Kitchen, hosted by Joel McHale, sees teams of bakers become culinary detectives as they try to figure out a recipe based on crumbs, flour trails and other elusive clues. The bakers must then recreate the recipe for celebrity chefs Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp, who will decide the winner of the $100,000 prize. It will air on Family Channel on Mondays.

Hosted by Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal, Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Game of Talents features two teams competing to figure out the surprising hidden talents of mystery performers in order to win $200,000. It will premiere on Family Channel on October 5.

All of the programs are available for viewing during a month-long free preview on the two channels for all Bell, Rogers, Sasktel, Shaw, Telus, Eastlink, Cogeco and Videotron subscribers.
