WarnerMedia’s Rooster Teeth Moves into Kids’ Genre

WarnerMedia’s Rooster Teeth Productions is set to make its first-ever foray into the kids’ genre through a development partnership with Albert Whitman Media.

Rooster Teeth and Albert Whitman Media will co-develop and produce original animated programming based on book properties from the children’s book publisher Albert Whitman & Company. First up will be adaptations of Zapato Power and Wish Library.

Zapato Power, from author Jacqueline Jules and illustrator Miguel Benítez, follows the adventures of Freddie Ramos, an ordinary kid growing up in a multi-ethnic neighborhood who has always dreamed of becoming a superhero. When he receives a mysterious gift that turns out to be superpowered sneakers, his life is forever changed.

Wish Library, from author Christine Evans, features third-grader Raven and her friends as they discover the Wish Library, where a mysterious librarian promises to help solve any problems with a simple wish.
