Nickelodeon Celebrating SpongeBob’s 20th Anniversary at Comic-Con

Nickelodeon is set to commemorate SpongeBob SquarePants’ 20 years on the air with a booth at Comic-Con International: San Diego that will bring Bikini Bottom to life.

The 1,800-square-foot booth on the convention floor will pay tribute to SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends with activations, panels, talent signings and interactive design elements featuring re-creations of The Krusty Krab, The Chum Bucket and Mrs. Puff’s Boating School. The convention will run from July 18 to 21, with activities held at the Nick booth on each day.

The interactive game inside The Krusty Krab will enable fans to go head-to-head to complete food orders in a race against the clock. Photo ops will be available at the replica of Mrs. Puff’s Boating School. At The Chum Bucket, which will tower 22 feet tall, attendees will be able to purchase a variety of exclusive Nick gear and collectibles, enjoy appearances by costumed characters and get autograph signings with SpongeBob SquarePants cast members and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators and executive producers.

During the convention, Nickelodeon will present two panels: “SpongeBob’s Big Birthday Blowout,” a deep dive into the series that will celebrate its anniversary; and “To Shell and Back,” a TMNT creator panel, with three generations of creators.
