TVOkids Show Spotlights Canada’s Indigenous Culture

Apartment 11 has teamed up with TVOkids for the launch of the new series Raven’s Quest, in which an animated character learns about various indigenous communities in Canada.

Raven’s Quest sees 21 hosts from across the country explore Indigenous hobbies, customs and dreams. The 20-episode show premieres today on TVOkids. A 7-minute-long episode will air Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:20 p.m., with repeats on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:20 a.m. and on weekends at 12 p.m.

“The children featured in the series engage viewers in details of their day-to-day lives, offering a fresh perspective on the diversity of Canada’s Indigenous communities,” said Joan Takefman, producer at Apartment 11.

“Raven’s Quest enables us to explore the diversity of kids across the province,” added Marney Malabar, the director of TVOkids. “We are excited that through this show and its complementary online game viewers can learn how Indigenous culture is passed down through generations.”
